I have been preparing for this moment for two years. You may ask why? The answer is that this ruling impacts the student-athletes that I serve. They now have the opportunity to create and attain profit off of their efforts. The other answer was that in this role I knew that at the end of the day I would most likely be the one most involved with this process.
My purpose and drive in my role are to create GENERATIONAL IMPACT and this is a new avenue for me to aid those that I serve daily. No matter the players' situation, I am here to ensure that they understand the benefits of these new NIL policies.
There is a lot more to learn about these new policies and the immediate and lasting impact they will have. The excitement around collegiate sports on June 30th was fun to see. Visually seeing student-athletes strategically positioning themselves to garner profit has been the highlight of my timeline. My prayer is that these student-athletes vet those who want to work with them so that they don’t lose out on eligibility and other things.
To the student-athletes now is YOUR TIME. Take advantage of this opportunity to create financial gain. But first ensure that you understand all that will be asked of you.
To the athletic professionals, specifically those who have been preparing for this. The time is here, your impact will increase, and your influence is vital.
