Season One’s purpose was to provide education and insight into the player development profession. Season Two’s purpose was to highlight those who do the work in the player development space. There are many different titles these guests hold, but the common denominator is they all help enhance the lives of athletes.

I have enjoyed getting to hear the work these incredible professionals provide for those under their influence. One thing I’ve done personally for my growth is take away three things from our conversations. I’ve shared these takeaways on social media but wanted to expand the reach of these gems by bringing them to the blog space.

1. Developing Yourself = Developing Others

In the episode Andre discussed the ways he personally developed over the years and how he uses those lessons to help those under his influence. Andre never missed a moment to grow and provides those opportunities for his athletes.

2. HS Athletics is Ready for Player Development

In the episode Andre spoke of the many ways he was able to provide development for the athletes and programs at his school. Listening to this episode there is a GREAT opportunity for player development at the HS level.

3. Exceeding Expectations = Lifelong Impact

Andre spoke about his personal and athletic journey in life. One of the common themes was his exceeding of expectations created moments of impact in his life. He continuously exceeded the expectations placed on him and has an incredible story because of it.
